
Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry and Allied Science (RINPAS) has completed its 100 years. Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren attended the inaugural session of the centenary celebrations organized on this historic occasion as the chief guest. On this occasion, he inaugurated the Tele Mental Health Video Conferencing Service, Digital Academy, Postal Stamp, Souvenir and four books of Rinpas.
The Chief Minister said on this occasion that the state government will take every necessary step to strengthen the infrastructure and educational system of Rinpas, so that better and modern treatment facilities can be provided to mental patients.
Emphasis on modern technologies
The Chief Minister said that maximum use of state-of-the-art digital technologies is necessary in the treatment of psychiatric patients. He assured that the state government will provide every technology to Rinpas, so that mental patients can get easy and simple treatment
Concern about mental health
The Chief Minister expressed concern that many families leave their mentally ill in Rinpas and never come to pick them up again. At the same time, many families imprison their patients in their homes. He said that such conditions are not good for both the family and the society. He appealed that it is necessary to adopt a sensitive attitude towards the mentally ill.
Rinpas is a symbol of foresight
Soren said that when the foundation of Rinpas was laid in the year 1925, a glimpse of the foresight of its founders is visible today. For a hundred years, this institute has been contributing to the treatment of mental patients with service, dedication and faith.
